In June 2025, I (Amy) had the pleasure of presenting to members of The Good Florist Guide on Zoom, chatting all about data and how it can be used in florist shops. It’s such an important topic — but let’s be honest, not always the easiest to make exciting — so I was a little nervous! Thankfully, the feedback was fantastic, and several members (who already use Strelitzia) even left us glowing 5-star reviews.
One florist at the session asked a few brilliant, honest questions — ones we hear all the time when shops are thinking about switching to Strelitzia:
“Will it slow down order taking?”
At the very beginning, it might take a little longer while you’re gathering more information from your customers — but that’s a good thing! We’ve been with Strelitzia since 2008. Yes, there were tears and tantrums (Mark witnessed these!). My husband got rid of the order pads so I had no choice but to enter every order into the computer — and now I’d cry if I didn’t have Strelitzia! 🤣🤣 It makes life so much easier!
We have over 10,000 contacts on our database and send out monthly reminders for birthdays and anniversaries. Amy, I need to speak to you about this! We also do a monthly newsletter, but I often struggle with content — and I’d love to chat with you about blogs too. I’m a bit stuck in the old ways… well, I am 66!
