14.00 Hands on workshop – Caring and Commercial Sustainable Floristry
Sustainability isn’t a fad – it’s an essential. Not just because it’s right for the planet but because there’s a whole new generation of conscious consumers who expect it. It’s also so much more than ditching the foam or banning the imports which we know are hard for commercial florists.
The whole afternoon will be dedicated to all things green with practical ideas on how you can make small but so, so important changes to your everyday work without it costing a fortune or taking an age.
Our team of experts will show you everything from which foam to use or how to go foam free if you can, showcase which flowers tick the environmental box and what sundries to buy that are good for the planet and the profit.
What’s more you’ll have the chance to try all the ideas yourself as we décor the hotel ready for evening dinner.
Supported by FleuraMetz, one of the largest wholesalers in the world and members of the renowned Flower Sustainably Initiative, and the Fair Trade Foundation, this is a unique, commercial floristry focussed workshop that looks at the all-important issue of sustainability from a commercial and holistic perspective so that it works for everyone.
