As many of you know, Strelitzia is a family affair. Mark and Sally founded the company back in 2006, with their daughter Katie joining in 2014. Now, their youngest daughter Amy is on board. Read on to see why she joined the company, her visions for the future, and, of course, her favourite flower:
The information and advice available on the GDPR legal requirements coming into play on the 25th May 2018 is enough to make your head spin.
For those of you that don’t know, the GDPR is regulations on how you collect, store and use your customer data. It’s important to note that this is not a new data protection obligation. It replaces and mirrors the previous requirement to have ‘appropriate technical and organisational measures’ under the Data Protection Act 1998 (the 1998 Act).
As you may be aware, Strelitzia is undergoing a rebuild to modernise the software, to include more features and to be on the cloud.
As I’m sure you are all aware, there is new legislation coming into action next month called General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We’ve had a lot of questions about this and hope we can reassure everybody that Strelitzia will be fully compliant. For extra clarification we have explained in more detail below why Strelitzia needs to comply and what we have done to ensure we comply.
It’s the news you’ve all been waiting for… Strelitzia is relaunching late Summer 2018 with brand new software on the cloud!

We will be fully compatible with Apple products, meaning no more clunky Parallels.. phew…
The software will have a new modern look and feel, while still being super easy to use
We’re got a pile of new features that we’re so excited to be sharing with you over the coming weeks and months, so keep a look out for update emails

As many of you know, we have been in talks with Florismart regarding a collaboration between the two companies for some time now.
Due to differing priorities, Strelitzia’s Board of Directors have come to the regrettable decision that the company should carry on without Florismart. This is within the best interest of the software, and you, our customers.
It has been a hard decision, but one that we feel is right, and we are now putting everything into rebuilding Strelitzia so that it will be on the cloud, and encompass many new features that you are asking for. We will update you in the New Year as to a time-scale for this.
Mark and Katie are now working entirely for Strelitzia, with Matt here for help and support when you need him.
Thank you for your continued support, and if we don’t speak to you soon, good luck with Christmas and we hope you get a good rest when it’s all over! Please don’t hesitate to send us an email at email@example.com or give the office a call on 01325 722398 if you have any questions.
2017 is going to be a good one for Strelitzia. We’ve had a fantastic 2016, doubling our number of fabulously savvy florists using the software to help and improve their businesses and this year we’re hoping to convince more of you that Strelitzia is THE way to go.
Since the beginning of May Marcel Schulz, the German champion of floristry, has been supporting the Strelitzia team in Germany. In this interview he talks about how he became passionate about the florist industry and tells us why he didn’t hesitate to join Strelitzia.
The Europa Cup has been taking place over the weekend in Genoa, Italy and there have been some wonderful and beautiful designs. We’ve been keeping tracks on how the competition has been going over the weekend and in the end the prestigious prize went to Tamas Mezoffy of Hungry.
Strelitzia would like to introduce you all to Andrew, the newest member of our technical team.
