Last weekend Mark and Sally visited Flowervision’s Annual Market Day in London and they had a wonderful time. Not only was the hospitality from Flowervision absolutely first class but it also gave us the opportunity to meet some of the florists that have had Strelitzia in their shops.
Having an e-commerce website is not a luxury for any business today, but a necessity.
It allows you open your doors wider to potential customers all round the world that otherwise may not have found you. Your website is open 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
A Gold award Chelsea Flower Show winner tells her florist story.
Welcome to 2015 and we hope you had a wonderful festive period and that 2015 has started fantastically. In the previous edition of ‘Our Florist’ we turned our attention on Yorkshire to visit Helen from Amaryllis. We hope you enjoyed that edition and judging by the feedback you most certainly did.
You may think that websites stint your creativity and you have to be a technical genius to add products and make changes. You don’t. Having an e-commerce website is more important than ever, and guess what? Websites can be made easy, simple and more inspiring than ever.
Firstly, forget those pictures of generic bouquets you get with your relay membership. Your website needs to be as unique and as creative as you and your shop, and ultimately fit in with your company branding. It needs to draw customers in at first glance and make them want to come and have a look around.
One of the first things I wrote for Strelitzia was a blog about my first three weeks here at Strelitzia HQ and I remember writing how quickly that time had gone by. Well fast forward to four months into the job and the same sentiment applies.
It might be a new year but we have persuaded another of our florists to answer some questions about their experiences with Strelitzia. This time we take a trip to Tunbridge Wells to speak to Sharon who owns Colonnade Florist and has been with Strelitzia for a little while.
Sharon who is a Chelsea Flower Show Gold medal winner, now runs her successful shop in the heart of Tunbridge Wells. We hope you enjoy reading about Sharon’s Strelitzia experiences and if you would like to feature please get in contact!
